You choose your rental period when you place your order: 7 days (18% of cover price), 30 days (35%), or a full school term (55%). Your rental period starts the day your book is delivered. We will remind you before your return date — there are no late fees, but we ask that you return promptly so other learners can rent.

Normal wear and tear is expected and acceptable — highlighting and pencil notes are fine. If a book is returned with significant damage (torn pages, water damage, broken spine), we will contact you to discuss a partial replacement cost. We are always fair and reasonable. Just treat it like you borrowed it from a friend.

Yes — contact us on WhatsApp (033 846 8700) or email esupport@shuter.co.za before your rental period ends. We will top up to the next tier at the price difference. For example, if you rented for 7 days and want to extend to 30 days, you only pay the remaining 17% difference.

Yes — we deliver to all 9 provinces in South Africa via courier. Delivery takes 2–3 working days to major centres (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria) and 3–5 days to rural areas. Return is via any Post Office with a prepaid label we provide. Standard delivery costs apply and will be quoted when you contact us.
